Veteran Championship keeps former softballers involved in Czech Republic.
May 8 (free day) is already several years the date for so-called "Veteran Fastpitch National Championship" in Czech Republic. 18 teams have competed in 3 age categories:
35+ 8 teams
45+ 4 teams
50+ 6 teams
The wheather was good, atmosphere great, even some plays were not bad at all !
And what does this have with Development of softball ?
We believe a lot. These events keep the former players, coaches and umpires still involved so the y are coming back after they quit playing and they can help with organization and within the clubs. Besides, some of them work in big companies and have good positions there, so they can also help with sponsorship.
