European Development Facilitator – Report from period April-June 2006

1. Office

Regular admin work, regular meetings with ESF Development Chairman Gabriel Waage approximately once a month, website updated regurarly.

2. Development database

Done – is regularly updated

3. Federations/Associations

Federations / Associations contacted on regular basis, most of information on Development Website, focus on so.called „Priority Countries“ – Eastern Europe. Tried to help all the needs and requests of all federations.

4. Priority Countries

Several events were planned and done during this period:

1. Denmark Softball Camp for youth in Czech Republic in Chocen in April – EDF helped to prepare and worked there
2. May – Clinic in Romania during the national championship 15-under
3. June – Visit Serbia – Tournament in Belgrade
4. Next plans – Switzerland and Poland during the summer

5. Basic Clinic Program

See above, every request will be considered and helped

6. Other Clinics

Slow-pitch Clinic in Croatia – mostly done by British Softball

7. Equipment

Open – European Storage is not finished yet, need to be discussed again with ISF in August in China.

8. Promotional materials

All videos, dvds, booklets, brochures or magazines, presentations are given to evrybody any time we meet – i.e. local clinics, tournaments, championships and any other occasions  – continuous work

9. Men and Boys promotion

EDF and Development Commission plans two major events:

1. Mens World Cup in Europe – Czech Softball Association plans together with ISF World cup in 2007 in Prague. There is a 5 years gap between two World Championships – still open, will be discussed in China
2. European Challenge Cup – needs to be revitalized, but next yer is hopefully WC

11. General

There were local clinics organized in several countries, planned another in summer, possible elite clinic in China, if not , try to plan some for the winter.

Federations are going to be asked for their plans and needs at the end of the year.
