European Development Facilitator – Report from period July - September 2006

 

1. Office

Regular admin work, regular meetings with ESF Development Chairman Gabriel Waage approximately once a month, website updated regurarly.

Done – is regularly updated

3. Federations/Associations

Federations / Associations contacted on regular basis, most of information on Development Website, focus on so.called „Priority Countries“ – Eastern Europe. Tried to help all the needs and requests of all federations.

4. Priority Countries

Several events were planned and done during this period:

  1. Youth Week Camp in Switzerland - July
  2. Visit Poland two times – preparation Junior World Championship and report about situation for ISF EC meeting
  3. Visit Guernsey with the tournament and discussions and plans for the future
  4. Visit European Championship Girls 12U – discussions about the future with delegations
  5. Visit European Cup Men in Prague – discussions with coaches and delegates about future of men´s softball plus help some weaker teams.

5. Basic Clinic Program

See above, every request will be considered and helped

6. Other Clinics

 

7. Equipment

Continues discussions with ISF about the storage in Europe. Idea was finalized in  Beijing and promised to do it at the beggining of next year

8. Promotional materials

All videos, dvds, booklets, brochures or magazines, presentations are given to evrybody any time we meet – i.e. local clinics, tournaments, championships and any other occasions  – continuous work, five sets distributed in China, new DVDs with Mens games from European Cup available.

9. Men and Boys promotion

Effort focused on aproval and preparation of ISF World Cup Men 2007 in Prague – new competition organized to fill the gap between two WC and promote men´s fastpitch in Europe.

10. ESF/ISF

Worked as TC in Women´s World Championship in Beijing, China. Besides there were discussed and updated:

  1. Equipment storage in Europe – better way to distribute
  2. ISF World Cup Men 2007 in Prague
  3. Clinic with US players in Europe next year – possible second half of the year
  4. 2nd International Coaching College in Europe 2007

11. General

Besides regular work and helping federations/associations with their plans and clinics this period was focused. on preparation of two major ISF events for next year JWC and World Cup and communications and plans with ISF for the future. End of the year should be time for finishing al reports and reccommendations from local clinics and visited events as well as overall reports and plans for next year.
