European Development Facilitator – Report from period October-December 2005

 

1. Office

Regular admin work, regular meetings with ESF Development Chairman Gabriel Waage approximately once a month, website updated regurarly.

Preparation of international event – International Coches College

2. Development database

Done – is regularly updated

3. Federations/Associations

Federations / Associations contacted on regular basis, most of information on Development Website

4. Priority Countries

All countries were asked about their off-season programme, offered help to organize camps or clinics for coaches or schools.

1. First interested are Croatia (Clinic in February), Malta, Switzerland and Bulgaria.

2. Dnemark plans togwether with EDF and Czech Softball camp for youth in Czech Republic – Will be open for other countries as well – info during January.

5. Basic Clinic Program

See above, every request will be considered and helped

6. Other Clinics

Major event of this period – Elite National Coaches from all over Europe were invited to the First International Coaches College in Euirope. Evenbt was held in Prague, Czech Republic in December and was very good asnd succesfull. Full report includiong photos on Development Website.

7. Equipment

Open – European Storage is not finished yet, need to be discussed again with ISF.

8. Promotional materials

All videos, dvds, booklets, brochures or magazines, presentations are given to evrybody any time we meet – i.e. local clinics, tournaments, championships and any other occasions – continuous work

9. Men and Boys promotion

EDF and Development Commission plans two major events:

  1. Mens World Cup in Europe – Czech Softball Association plans together with ISF World cup in 2007 in Prague. There is a 5 years gap between two World Championships.
  2. European Challenge Cup – folow-up from meetings about serie of the tournaments in Europe in Holland, Czech Rep. and Great Britain. There will be meeting of the delegations in Sofia during ESF Congress to finish it (Netherlands, Denmark,and Czech republic)

10. ESF/ISF

EDF Pavel Prachar and Chairman of Development Commission Gabriel Waage went to ISF Congress in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. ISF Development Commission, as well as the Congress itself highly appreciated the way we have started this new project of EDF. The only other continent with something similar is Oceania. Others want to use our experience to establish it within their regions.

11. General

Major events of this period was ISF Congress with our succesfull presentation and first ICC Clinic in Prague.

EC ESF Meeting in Frankfurt in November has prolonged contract to next ESF Congress where the whole issue (position of EDF in Europe) will be discussed again.
