XXX. Congress of European Softball Federation, February 3-5, 2006
Sofia, Bulgaria, hosted special edition of the Congress in European Softball Federation history, its 30th annual session. There were several comissions and committees meetings during Friday and the main Congress session on Saturday. The delegates discussed many issues, among others changes in competition rules (Pick up Rule, Foreign and Assimilated Players - postponed until next congress) or Financial strategy and budget for next years.
Development Commission has met two times before the session, just members with some EC ESF members on Thursday night, than during its regular meeting on Friday afternoon. Both meetings and finally Congress itself approved recommendation to Executive Council to go on with position and work of European Development Facilitator and recommand to approve the budget for development 10.000 Euros.
Laurie Gouthro, the representative of International Softball Federation went to Development meetings, addressed the position and support of ISF to Development all over the world and its importance in our attempts to get back to program of Olympic Games.
All delegations were given the Report of EDF (see events) to 30th ESF Congress.
