GERMAN CLUB TO PLAY AS GUEST TEAM

IN BRITISH WOMEN'S FASTPITCH LEAGUE

 

Augsburg Slugs, a Womens Fastpitch team from Germany, will visit London to play as a guest team in the British Women's Fastpitch League on the weekend of May 13-14, 2006. 

 

League organiser Tanya Price said, "We are very pleased to host the Slugs and we appreciate them coming over to assist us improve the standard and create some excitment within our small Fastpitch League. This will help bring the total number of teams to four, making a much more productive number for a weekend of Softball games."

 

There are hopes that other European clubs can send a team to England to play on other British League dates.
