ESF Congress in Zagreb has aproved Pick-up Rule for European Cups.

There has been long discussion last several years about status of foreign players in european competition. The rule said there were two foreign and two "asimilated" players allowed for European Cups and Cup Winners Cups. But enforcement of use of these players was very weak and confusing, so lot of people felt the rules should be changed. Finally Technical Commission proposed and ESF Congress aproved sugestion of Development Commission from few years ago - so called Pick up Rule in its easiest version:

Every club  can use 3 players from anywhere else but from the club (this year exceptionally 4 players). There is no difference between european or non european countries, citizenship playes no role as well as nationality, the only fact which matters is the membership in the club for most of the players (certified by national federation/assocoation) plus these three pick ups without any restriction. This means they can even play in the same country and the same competition like the club who attends the european competition.
